Welcome to CACoM (Clinical Applications of Computational Medicine) at the Technical University of Munich. This semester you work in a team on a research project that combines computation and clinical medicine, and you present it at a full-day symposium at the end.

The first class is on Thursday, 22 October 2026, from 16:45 to 18:15. A few things to know from the start:

  • The Topics & projects page lists concrete projects you can choose from. Custom topics are welcome too.
  • From the first class on, at least one member of every group attends every class and asks us at least one question; see Class participation. If you don't have a group yet, come yourself.
  • All contact with the course team goes through support@cacom.dev.
  • The semester ends with a full-day symposium with invited speakers. Your one-minute video is played for everyone before the first break, and in a dedicated poster session your whole team walks us through your poster.

The schedule has the milestones. We will announce the dates still marked TBD in class.
